Privacy Policy

This policy explains the difference between local in-app driver records and information handled separately through the website, support, subscriptions, diagnostics, or analytics.

Effective date: May 15, 2026

Who operates GigClaim

GigClaim is operated by MarCas Holding LLC. Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy [at] gigclaim dot app, or through the contact form.

Local-first driver records

GigClaim is built around local-first recordkeeping. Your mileage, trip, expense, earnings, and tax-planning records are designed to stay on your phone. GigClaim does not upload those driver records to our servers, sell them, or use them for advertising. Some information may be handled separately when you choose to interact with us, such as submitting a support request, joining a product update list, or purchasing a subscription through Apple.

Want product updates without sending driver records to GigClaim servers?

Driver records stored on your phone

In-app driver records may include work sessions, trips, mileage totals, classifications, missed-trip entries, expenses, earnings, vehicles, home and work location settings, tax-planning assumptions, tracking-health information, exports, local backups, and local app settings. These records are designed to stay on your device unless you choose to export, back up, share, import, or submit information yourself.

Location data

GigClaim uses location permission to help track work miles during work sessions you start in the app. Background location may be used during an active work session so mileage can continue when your phone is locked or you switch apps. Home-address search, address autocomplete, geocoding, and current-location lookup may use Apple location and search services to help you set a home base or related app setting.

Exports

GigClaim is designed for user-controlled exports. You choose when to create reports, backups, or other export files. Exported files may contain sensitive driver records, including trip, location, income, expense, vehicle, home/work location, and tax-planning records. The destination you choose controls those files after export.

Website forms and product update signups

Website forms and app update signup forms may collect information you choose to submit, such as name, email address, driver type, main need, topic, and message details. The website form handlers store update signup and contact submissions in Cloudflare D1-backed form storage when the database binding is configured.

Website forms are separate from in-app driver records. They do not read app mileage logs, GPS routes, trip histories, expense records, earnings records, tax-planning records, or export files unless you choose to include that information in a message.

Support requests

Support requests may include the contact details, topic, and message content you choose to send. Do not send Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, bank account numbers, platform passwords, full tax returns, sensitive tax documents, full trip histories, or private driver records through support unless specifically requested and necessary.

Subscriptions and App Store purchases

GigClaim subscriptions and App Store purchases are handled by Apple through App Store subscriptions and StoreKit. Apple manages payment processing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund requests where available, and restore flows. GigClaim may use verified StoreKit entitlement information to determine whether app access is active.

Diagnostics and analytics

The website currently includes a Google Analytics wrapper for privacy-conscious website event measurement. The wrapper is designed to send limited website interaction metadata, such as page path, page type, locale, CTA label, destination type, and source section. It is not designed to send names, emails, phone numbers, raw form content, location data, mileage logs, trip details, earnings amounts, expense amounts, tax-estimate values, or in-app driver records.

Optional diagnostics, crash reports, or app analytics may be handled separately if enabled. Diagnostics, crash reports, app analytics, website analytics, App Store privacy disclosures, and third-party service disclosures are updated as GigClaim's actual systems change. This policy may be updated when those systems change.

Third-party services

Based on the current website and public copy, third-party surfaces may include Apple App Store and StoreKit systems, Apple location/search services used by the app, Cloudflare Pages and D1 for website hosting/form storage, and Google Analytics for website analytics when enabled. If hosting services, diagnostics tools, analytics tools, subscription systems, or app service providers change, GigClaim may update this policy and related service disclosures.

Data deletion and reset

Local app records remain on your device until you delete them, use available local delete/reset controls, or remove the app. Website support and product-update messages may be kept as reasonably needed for support, app communications, legal, security, and business records. To request deletion of website form or support records, contact privacy [at] gigclaim dot app or use the contact form.

Children's privacy

GigClaim is not directed to children under 13. Do not use website forms to submit information about a child.

Contact

For privacy questions, contact privacy [at] gigclaim dot app. For support questions, contact support [at] gigclaim dot app. You can also use the contact form to route your message by topic.

Policy updates

This policy may be updated as the app, website, service providers, App Store setup, analytics, diagnostics, or support workflows change. The effective date will be updated when the policy changes materially.
